Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required, CSPD required 2 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• CER (certified endocope reprocessing) cert required MUST HAVE REPROCESSING

KNOWLEDGE IN OTOLARYNGOLOGY COVID vaccine required booster - Medical exemption acceptable Flu vaccine required - medical exemptions are acceptable.

• Shift:8H Day shift, Mon-Fri 11a-7p, weekends and holidays may be required.
• Carries out the reprocessing protocols for equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Maintains equipment in proper working order, keeps appropriate inventory of supplies for daily operations.
• Carries out protocols and quality assurance for infection control in maintenance of equipment and performance of duties. Assists nursing staff in selected tasks to support functions of the unit.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and proper handling of sterile instruments

Duties:

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and solutions
• Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
• Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load contents, cycle times, and test results
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that sterile instruments are readily available when needed
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections
